In this video we will use a yarn wrapping technique to decorate Papier Mache frames. Students can draw a portrait or write a message to their teacher and attach them to the frames to create a colourful classroom display.
Yarn Wrapped Frame
Step 1
Cut a long length of yarn and wind it into a smaller ball.
Step 2
Knot the end of the yarn onto your papier mache frame and begin to wind it around until the frame has been covered. Knot and trim the end of the yarn and use a small amount of glue to secure the end piece.
Step 3
Draw a portrait or write a message on half of a piece of A5 cover paper and glue it to the back of your frame.
