Story Telling on Clay

In this video we create a story using Songlines Indigenous Stampers on clay, and then paint a visual representation of the symbols used.

Step 1

Roll out a slab of air drying clay that is about 10cm x 15cm and 5mm thick.

Step 2

Choose a selection of symbols that tell a story and press them into the lower half of your wet clay and leave to dry for 24-48hrs.

Step 3

Use watercolour or acrylic paints to create an image that represents the story you have told in symbols.
