Mixed Media Snake

In this video we will use a variety of materials and techniques to create a colourful collaged snake artwork.

Step 1

Use Paint Slicks to cover a sheet of A3 paper with areas of assorted colour.

Step 2

Cut out a variety of images using the Collage Collections papers and glue them over the areas of colour. Let everything dry for 5 mins.

Step 3

Cut out a variety of images using the Collage Collections papers and glue them over the areas of colour. Let everything dry for 5 mins.

Step 4

To add a final layer of texture, place a patterned rubbing plate under your paper and rub over the top of your paper with coloured crayons.

Step 5

Once your paper is filled with colour and pattern turn it over and draw a large snake outline.

Step 6

Cut out your snake shape and glue it onto an A3 sheet of Kraft card.

Step 7

Glue on a creature eye and use a marker to draw the forked tongue.
