In this video we will explore microbiology by creating a bacteria petri dish using paint pom-poms, beads, a paper plate, and markers.
Macro Bacteria
Step 1
Trace a circle on a sheet of transparency film using your plate as a stencil and cut it out. You will need this at the end of the project.
Step 2
Use watercolour to paint random patches and spots on your paper plate and leave to dry.
Step 3
Pom Poms, beads and coloured markers can be used to add detail and textures to your bacteria colonies.
Step 4
Glue your Transparency film circle over your plate and leave to dry. The bacteria petri dishes look amazing when they are displayed together.
