In this video we will learn about colour mixing by making geometric shapes out of card and attaching primary coloured Cellophane. When the shapes overlap you will see tertiary colours appear.
Geometric Colour Mixing
Step 1
Draw 3 different geometric shapes on a sheet of black card. Make the shapes different heights and around 8-10cm wide.
Step 2
Mark out a 1cm border on the inside of each shape. Now cut around the outside of each shape and then cut out the middle of each shape.
Step 3
Use a glue stick to attach a piece of cellophane to each shape using a different primary colour for each one.
Step 4
Trim off the excess cellophane and place your 3 shapes into the slot on top of the card holder. As you slide the shapes across each other you will see secondary colours appear.
