Christmas Hessian Gift Bag

For students aged 8 and above, thread Crewel Needle with desired colour Thread.

Insert needle through the inside face of the Hessian Bag and stitch according to preferred shape.

Prop the Hessian Bag open with one hand. To make a star, start with needlepoint inside the Hessian Bag with your other hand and push through the front face of the bag. Reinsert needle directly below with adequate spacing (for example, 1cm below first entry point). Push the needle through and pull back through. Move the needlepoint 90 degrees away from the exit point and reinsert. Repeat this process until you have 4 straight lines overlapping in the shape of a star.

Repeat this process to create words such as Xmas, or other Christmas themed words, shapes and outlines.

For younger students, use Felt Shapes and other embellishments to decorate. Affix with Supertac Glue.
