In this video we create a fun carnivorous plant sculpture for Halloween using simple construction techniques.
Carnivorous Plant
Step 1
Paint 2 Poly half balls using Creamy Colours paints and leave to dry.
Step 2
Trace 2 circle shapes using a half ball as a template. Draw triangular teeth around the circumference and then cut out both shapes.
Step 3
Paint the inside of each circle red with the creamy colours and leave to dry.
Step 4
Use a black marker to draw a tongue.
Step 5
Glue the Mouth and teeth pieces onto the flat sides of your half circles and leave to dry.
Step 6
Cut 2 long leaf shapes out of green card and poke a small hole near the end of each leaf.
Step 7
Poke a satay stick through the back edges of each half ball to create the open mouthed plant head./p>
Step 8
Wrap green Chenille stems around the satay stick threading your leaves on as you near the end of the stick.
Step 9
Position your carnivorous plant in an existing pot or garden bed for display and give everyone a scare!
