In the artroom, Low Melt Glue Sticks are perfect for assembling mixed-media artworks, constructing 3D models, and bonding materials such as cardboard, Corflute board, wood, plastic, fabric, ceramic, leather, and some metals. Their thick consistency allows students to apply glue to vertical surfaces with minimal dripping, while the fast-drying nature encourages efficient, independent making. Beyond construction, these glue sticks can be used creatively—such as for creating raised line work for relief printing or textural elements in decorative art projects. They’re a versatile classroom essential that supports both functional and artistic applications.
How to use the Low Melt Glue Gun:
1. Plug the gun into a wall socket and allow it to heat up for a few minutes.
2. Insert the Low Melt Glue Stick into the back of the glue gun and squeeze the trigger several times until the glue stick fully feeds into the inlet tube.
3. Squeeze the trigger until the glue flows from the nozzle and apply to your project.
4. Press surfaces together within 10 seconds and hold for 20 – 40 seconds. The use of clamps or other holding devices is not necessary. Clean surfaces for best bonding.
5. Unplug the glue gun when finished and allow to cool before putting away.
Note: No need to remove the glue stick, simply insert another into the back when the current stick stops feeding.
