Wind Spinner

In this video we will explore kinetic energy by creating a colourful wind spinner.

Step 1

Use our downloadable template to trace a spiral and circle onto a sheet of A4 Transparency film.

Decorate your spiral with Paint Markers using a variety of patterns and colours and leave to dry.

Carefully cut around the circle and along the line of the spiral.

Poke a small hole in the centre of the spiral and attach a length of string. Knot one end of the string and create a loop on the other end.

You can either hang your spinner outside or hold onto the end of the string and twirl in a circle or run with your arm held away from your body.
