Sketching Journal

In this video we explore a simple wellbeing exercise of drawing nature. Using our sketching journal we complete a sketch of a flower picked fresh from the garden. This mindful drawing practice can be completed daily with different sources of inspiration.

Step 1

After choosing your subject matter begin by lightly sketching in the shapes that you see using the 01 pen. Spend some time at this stage observing where the lighter and darker areas are and add minimal linework to show where the shadows are.

Step 2

Using the 03 pen, begin to add more detail and further highlight the difference between the lighter and darker areas of your artwork.

Step 3

Add in the darkest shadow areas using the 05 pen to create depth.
