Students will love this easy-to-make Christmas wreath – inspired by current Australian craft makers.
Gum Leaf Wreath Hanger
Step 1
Paint three Wooden Australian Gum Hangers on both sides with the Watercolour Paint Discs. Vary the colour saturation by using more water for a stained watercolour look or less water and more pigmented strokes for a richer finish. NB: Further embellish the native shapes with markers, Poscas or Zart Metallic Markers.
Step 2
Decorate the wooden beads with the Watercolour Paint Discs.
Step 3
Cut a piece of Craft Wire (approximately 45cm long). Shape the wire into a hoop and thread the wooden beads on. Close the hoop by hooking the wire ends together and twisting to lock in place.
Step 4
String the Gum Hangers from the wire hoop. Cut lengths of string (15-25cm) and tie between the wooden beads. Thread the other end through the Gum Hangers and tie to secure.
