Christmas Baubles

Australian artists and designers Tiff Manuell and Poppy Lane create vibrant, colourful accessories mostly showcasing painterley designs. The background surface of these baubles draws inspiration from those creative works.

Step 1

Discuss the different animals we have in Australia and their features and characteristics. You may also choose to do this for a festive character (Santa, a reindeer, an elf, etc.).

Step 2

Use Slicks (paint sticks) to loosely draw and colour one side of a Pre-stuffed Calico Bauble.

Step 3

Cut stylised features – crests, legs, eyes, mouth, etc. – from Coloured Vinyl.

Step 4

Glue features into place using Craft Glue.
