In this video we create a contemporary botanical artwork using found foliage and water based spray paint.
Botanical Spray Paint
Step 1
Working outside or in a well ventilated area place your sheet of watercolour paper onto a protective surface or into a spray booth. We made ours with an old cardboard bo
Step 2
Arrange your found foliage onto the paper making sure to layer them over the top of each other. 3-4 layers of foliage works best.
Step 3
Shake your can well and then spray a layer of colour over all of the foliage.
Step 4
Carefully Remove some of the upper layer of foliage to reveal partial leaf shape. Make sure not to drag the foliage across the painted surface as you remove it. Now spray another layer of paint.
Step 5
Continue removing foliage and spray painting until you have 2-3 leaves left.
Step 6
Lift off the final leaves to reveal the white paper and your finished artwork.Leave to dry.
