Victorian Curriculum Levels: F – 6
Clay is a wonderful medium for primary and secondary students to work with. Students are engaged as they learn about texture, form and the possibilities and limitations of this medium.
Build up your skills and knowledge of ceramics by exploring in depth pinch pot, coiling, mould and slab construction techniques. Further extend your understanding in methods of clay and decoration and gain great ideas that will be manageable in the art room and will look terrific.
This workshop is a must for teachers that can see the potential of introducing clay to their students and need some hints on how to do it effectively.
During the pre-recoded video portion of this workshop, you will learn basic clay modelling skills through an exploration of earthenware clay.
Apply these clay skills during a live Zoom session with Dee to create a finished artwork.
