This thick and sturdy pre-drilled Wooden Armature Base is ready to be incorporated in to your next construction, STEAM, modelling or wire project. This Wooden Armature Base has been designed to provide a secure foundation for armature frameworks used in visual art structures, sculptures, models and constructed pieces. Pre-drilled with a nine by nine pattern, all 81 holes are uniform in size and can fit armature wire 1.6mm, Florist wire, wooden skewers and chenille stems.

Early Years and Play Based Students can use this base as a platform to build 3D collage. Manipulate wires by creating spirals, shapes, cut them in different lengths and insert them into the block either upright, bent over, or on different angles.

Older students may use this Wooden Armature Base for building a wire frame to model around or construct on.

Construction and modelling provides students with the opportunity to problem solve, engineer, understand weight, proportion and balance in a three dimensional form. By scaffolding their learning with practical and tactical resources allows students to explore, experiment, create, and build on existing knowledge.
