Because the three tones are so close in value, this set is ideal for teaching blending technique explicitly: students can practise working light to dark, softening a hard edge with the palest marker, and building depth without visible banding. Teachers can set students to produce a personal material library - a swatch page showing each marker alone, then in two- and three-marker combinations - which becomes a reference tool for the rest of the unit. In Visual Communication Design, the palette supports interior perspectives, cabinetry and furniture design, product rendering in timber, and final presentation drawings where surface finish carries the design idea. It also works well in for still life and observational drawing of timber objects, where students can compare what they see against what they can achieve with three markers.
