The EL Wire Red 5m is a flexible electroluminescent wire that glows like a neon tube! Use as an amazing luminescent feature in your next art or STEAM project. So easy to use, simply load two AA batteries into the included controller and push the button – instant luminance! The inside of the plastic tubing is coated with a phosphor that illuminates when a voltage is applied and is cold to the touch. There are three functions – solid on (first button push), flashing slow (second button push) and flashing fast (third button push).

This innovative area of the curriculum combines subjects and skills (including critical and creative thinking) that are necessary for students to engage in in order to understand, improve and advance what is already known about the world. Developing a range of visual, thinking, and hands on skills through these subjects will provide the opportunity for students to better understand and prepare for the problems, solutions and unknown situations of the future. The careers that most of our students will have in the future are still undiscovered, however as educators we hold a responsibility to our students to prepare them and extend them for what could come by giving them the tools to creatively and systematically address problems from multiple angles using a range of strategies and techniques the subjects of STEAM can equip them with.
