About this Online Workshop:
Join Zart as we wrap up and celebrate the end of 2024 in this entirely online professional learning workshop program, presented by Tania Di Berardino.
This workshop is suitable for art and classroom educators of all levels from Foundation – Year 10.
This unique, budget-friendly, ‘No-Waste Workshop’ calls upon using materials you already have, collecting and reusing recycled materials and objects, and weaving them together in exploration of new and old ideas and techniques.
So come along and join us in this workshop where we let nothing go to waste – especially a good idea!
In this online workshop, you will:
- Create a Reverse Painting using materials in your store room
- Repurpose a Painting using an old art picture frame
- Upcycle a Fabric Coil Basket using scrap fabric / recycled fashion
- Create a Cardboard Collage using recycled cardboard packaging
- Print with Foam and Markers using basic materials
- Make an Envelope Art Book using old paper envelopes or paper bags
- Meet Online with Tania and other educators and colleagues in the live online group session to share your questions, feedback, art outcomes, links, ideas, and extensions.

This online workshop does not include a delivered materials kit.
Instead, participants are asked to use up leftover and easily sourced recycled materials.
For this workshop, you will need:
- Acrylic Paint – any old/leftover paints will do, along with brushes, water pot, etc.
Water-based Markers – just your basic classroom textas - Old Picture Frames – just old frames sourced from donations or op shops; glass removed
- A3 Card or Paper – heavyweight paper, reused artworks, canvas, or recycled cardboard
- Recycled Cardboard Packaging – any lightweight cardboard packaging (e.g., cereal boxes)
- Scrap Fabric – leftover fabrics or recycled fashion, old T-shirts, etc.
- Wool & Needle – any type of wool, twine, threads, and a large-eye needle
- Sandpaper – any fine-grade sandpaper or foam emery board
- Envelopes or Paper Bags – old used envelopes with windows or paper shopping bags
- Colour Slicks – if you have some
- Print Foam or EVA Craft Foam Sheets
- Spray water bottle or mister
- General Equipment – such as scissors, glue sticks, pencils, fineliners, rulers, etc.
