About this Online Workshop

This workshop is designed for teachers who are new to the art room, or who are returning and need a refresher.

Participants will be walked through the Victorian curriculum and the Australian curriculum.
Learn about the visual arts structure, learning capabilities, cross curriculum priorities and content descriptors and how these can look within a visual arts program.

Gain information and insight through two workshop presenters; Tahlia Megele presents the course curriculum videos, then meet online together with other educators and presenter Dee Zabel for further questions, feedback, ideas and advice from years of primary teaching experience.

Through this workshop participants will explore the different considerations when planning an art curriculum as well as be guided on how to structure and create an art curriculum using different examples and templates which align with the visual arts curriculum.

Participants will also walk through the lesson planning process using a variety of different strategies and gain confidence in assessing and reporting within the visual arts.
