Create a highly absorbent paper like ground on any surface. The Derivan Watercolour Ground 250mL can be applied to a variety of slick, non-absorbent surfaces. Once dry the surface can be painted with watercolour paints and other mediums that normally wouldn't hold or take well.

The watercolour ground can be applied to multiple surfaces including canvas (unprimed and primed), fabric, paper, glass, plastic, Perspex, wood, metal, plaster and ceramic. Perfect for watercolour, pigmented inks, liquid acrylic, mixed media applications and unusual substrates.

To use: apply with a brush or foam roller to a clean, dry surface. If applying to wood be sure to sand first with fine grain sandpaper. Apply no more than three coats for maximum absorption and allow to dry for 24 hours in between coats. The surface is now ready for watercolour!
