This premium Art Spectrum Watercolour Pad offers artist quality performance at an affordable price. The paper is 300gsm in weight and made from 100% cotton giving it excellent absorption properties. The paper has a cold pressed surface resulting in a slightly coarse medium texture – ‘tooth’. Excellent quality and affordability makes this watercolour pad perfect for the discerning student or artist.

Art Spectrum Watercolour Pad comes in a convenient pad, and includes 15 sheets.

The paper is museum archival grade – acid free, so your finished work will not yellow or degrade over time. The pad is chlorine free and contains zero whitening agents (OBA’s) and environmentally friendly. Also, plant sizing and synthetic tub sizing is used in the manufacturing process making this paper vegan friendly.

Use this pad with a variety of watercolour paints including liquid and pan style watercolours as well as watercolour pencils and crayons. Also great for acrylic paints and inks.

Tip. If you intend to use a lot of water in your watercolour painting, then it’s important to stretch your paper before starting to avoid buckling.

Stretch your watercolour paper:

Soak the paper in a bath of water for 5 – 10 minutes (15 – 20 for larger pieces).
Remove from the bath and allow excess water to drip off.
Fasten the paper on all four sides to a waterproof board such as plywood using gum or masking tape.
Lay the board flat and allow to dry.
Remove the tape and your paper is ready to use.
