The learning objectives for this lesson are to investigate how art elements such as colour, texture, and form can be used to create harmony and unity in within artwork.

Materials     

• Calico (2 pieces per student)
• Wadding or felt
• Watercolours (Optional: gouache, acrylics, aerosol paint, puff paint)
• Needles for embroidery and beading
• Embroidery hoop is optional
• Dressmaking pins
• Embroidery threads and sewing threads (variety of colours and ply)
• Beads, sequins, metallic threads
• Paint brushes, assorted
• Water 

Optional:

• Puff Paint
• Hairdryer to assist dry time and to set puff paint
