Mini Magical Lands inspired by Pip & Pop

Students will explore the art works of Pip & Pop (Tanya Schultz) and respond by creating their own imaginative miniature 3D magical land using armature, modelling clay, found objects, paint, and craft embellishments.

Materials     

  • Magiclay (white air-dry clay)
  • Modelling Foam Dough (optional) 
  • Chenille Stems 
  • Assorted beads (bright colours)
  • Assorted gems (sparkle mix)
  • Zart Primecolours, Pearlescent watercolour paints
  • Recycled cardboard boxes (optional)
  • Scrunched paper and foil (for armature)
  • Supertac Glue
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrushes
  • Coloured Pencil or Markers
  • Visual Diary/Journal or paper to sketch design 
  • Found objects and texture stamps (buttons, forks, natural materials, etc.)
