Large Scale Cake Collage Inspired By Kat McLeod

Large cardboard panel white features a colourful layered cake collage with dripping icing shapes in pink, blue and green. Surrounding art supplies and painted papers suggest a classroom activity. Demonstrated in Zart Education On Demand lesson activity “Large Scale Cake Collage inspired by Kat McLeod”.

The learning objectives for this lesson are to explore how shape, colour and texture can be used to construct a large-scale collage inspired by Kat McLeod’s illustration style. Students will design and create a layered cake composition using painted papers, experimenting with tearing, cutting and stamping techniques. They will develop an understanding of composition, contrast and surface texture while working at an enlarged scale.
