Intaglio Sneaker Print inspired by Tinker Hatfield
This lesson is designed for students fromLevel 5 through to Level 10 to teach skills in intaglio printmaking and etching using sustainable materials while drawing inspiration from Nike designer Tinker Hatfield. All lessons can be adapted to suit a variety of year levels and ability levels.
Materials:
- Recycled Tetra Pak packaging (milk, oat milk or juice cartons)
- Graphite or carbon paper
- Pencil
- Etching pin
- Scissors
- Watercolour paper
- Printing press
- Intaglio ink
- Cardboard scraper
- Cotton wool buds
- Wet wipes
- Gloves
- Water tray
