Animal Lino Print Inspired by Samantha Curcio

Two black-and-white lino prints — a larger and smaller version — feature a stylised cat face within a circular geometric border. Student works from the Zart Education On Demand lesson unit Animal Lino Print Inspired by Samantha Curcio, showcasing bold contrast and confident, expressive line work.

Students are introduced to lino cutting and relief printmaking by creating a bold, simplified design inspired by Samantha Curcio. They learn to translate drawings into printable compositions through positive and negative space, while developing skills in carving, inking and printing and exploring how line, shape and colour create visual impact.
