In this video we will be using air drying clay to create quirky pencil toppers. This fun activity explores modelling techniques and works on fine motor skills.
Step 1
Create the body of your character using Creative Clay.
Step 2
Insert a paper straw into the base, which will give you something to hold on to.
Step 3
Continue adding more clay, feathers, chenille stems, joggle eyes and anything else you may have at hand to create your character.
Step 4
Snip away the excess straw, leaving 2–3 cm of straw attached to your character.
Step 5
Insert a pencil into the straw and leave your character to set for 1–2 hours.
