Create your own wearable music maker! Inspired by this year's CBCA Book Week theme Symphony of Stories and illustrator Briony Stewart's beautiful themed illustrations, students will design and craft a music maker to wear on their wrist.

 

Step 1

Cut card 3 to 4 cm wide, 20 to 27 cm long. Keep corrugation vertical.

Step 2

Add 1 to 2 holes in the centre. Add 2 holes on the opposite side.

Step 3

Glue trim along edges or stick individual pom poms on top.

Step 4

Cut ribbons. Thread through holes. Tie loosely.

Step 5

Thread bells onto chenille stem. Push through holes. Twist to secure.

Step 6

Join ends. Staple to fit wrist.

Step 7

Add patterns with paint markers.
