Multicultural Paper Flexagon

In this video, we will make a paper flexagon and decorate it with illustrations depicting different nationalities to celebrate Harmony Day.

Step 1

Trim a sheet of A4 Mineral Paper to make it a square.

Step 2

Use the video as a guide to cut and fold your flexagon. The final fold can be a little tricky, so take your time with it.
To make sure you have made it correctly, hold your flexagon with one hand on the top left and one on the bottom right.
Use your thumbs to gently open the flexagon to reveal the next set of four squares.
Now turn your flexagon clockwise and repeat the opening process.
Continue opening the flexagon to reveal each new set of four squares.

Step 3

Use skin tone Slicks and markers to draw a face on the front four squares. Wait a minute for the Slicks and markers to set, then turn your drawing clockwise and open the flexagon to reveal the next set of squares.

Step 4

Continue drawing different faces until you come back to the first face. You should have drawn four faces.
