Mixed Media Mother's Day Canvas

In this video we will make paper flowers to decorate a canvas Mother’s Day message.

Step 1

Paint a wash of poster paint on your canvas to create a background for your paper flowers and leave to dry.

Step 2

Fold a sheet of collagami paper into quarters and open. Use the fold lines as a guide to cut 4 equal sized circles and cut them out.

Step 3

Fold each circle in half and then in thirds. Cut a curve across the top of your folded paper then open it to reveal your flower shape.

Step 4

Glue a pony bead in the centre of your paper flower.

Step 5

Make as many flowers as you want to add to your canvas.

Step 6

Cut some leaf shapes to add to your design.

Step 7

Assemble and glue your flowers and leaves to your canvas and leave to dry.
