Gum Leaf Key Chain

This is a wonderful fine motor activity that results in a lovely keepsake to gift to friends & family members or as an ornament to personalise a bag.

Step 1

Use Street Paint Markers to write a Christmas message, someone’s name or an uplifting message. Leave the paint to dry for 5 mins.

Step 2

Cut off the exposed stem then use a sewing needle or wooden skewer to poke a hole through the thicker end of the leaf. Thread a piece of tinsel stem through the hole and twist it around itself to secure it to the leaf.

Step 3

Thread a selection of decorative beads onto the tinsel stem. Make sure to keep at least 5cm of stem free of beads at the end.

Step 4

Thread the end of the tinsel stem through the small ring at the bottom of the metal keychain and twist it around itself to secure into place. Use scissors to snip off any excess stem.
