In this video we will create a graduation-themed expanding art book and fill it with photos and messages to remember our school years.
Step 1
Fold a square of paper in half diagonally. Unfold it and turn it over, then fold it in half vertically. Unfold it and fold it in half horizontally, then unfold it and turn the square over. Bring the two corners of the diagonal fold together and press your paper down so you have a smaller square. Press firmly along the folded edges. You will need to make 4-8 of these squares depending on the desired length of your book.
Step 2
Open one square and position it so that the diagonal fold is vertical and the unfolded squares are left and right. Lay out all of your opened squares in a row alternating the folds facing up and the folds facing down. Overlap the right square of one piece of paper with the left square of the next and glue into place. Continue until all pieces are joined.
Step 3
Push your chain of squares together so you have a stack of paper. Glue a cardboard coaster onto the top and bottom of your stack.
Step 4
Use printed photos, collage papers, stickers, markers and pens to fill in the segments of your graduation keepsake.
