Put aside the holly, pine leaves and cones, this very colourful wreath highlights our most recognisable and iconic flora – the eucalypt gum tree!
Australian Summer Gum Wreath
Step 1
Colour a Cardboard Ring with a Colour Slick (paint stick).
Step 2
Select a range of colours of Coloured Cardboard (share sheets and offcuts). Cut out eight skinny gum leaves that are approximately 10 – 12cm long with a stem. Vary the leaf shapes so that design looks more organic.
Step 3
Colour half of each leaf with a Colour Slick. Choose a colour that is darker than the colour of the leaf.
Step 4
Use a white Oil Pastel to add detail – lines, shapes and patterns to each leaf.
Step 5
Glue the leaves to the ring with a Glue Stick.
Step 6
Alternative Options: For finer line work, substitute Oil Pastels with White Paint Markers.
