Wooden Beaded Necklace

Paint your beads as much or as little as you like, using Posca markers. Add detail to the beads with the Posca markers, ensuring the base layer is dry, or with Colour Slix for a three-dimensional effect.

Once dry, spray your beads with Crystal Clear varnish.

Once the varnish dries, thread them up onto a piece of coloured jute, making sure the length is long enough for the join.

If you are confident how long to make the necklace, simply tie the two ends togehter in a knot. Otherwise, to make the length adjustable, create a Chinese sliding knot. Using a longer piece of jute, overlap each end with the continuous piece of jute, in opposite direction, and tie a knot at each end.
