Wall Hanger

Create a wall hanger for Mother's Day by decorating a number of heart shapes with things you love doing with your mum. A simple activity suitable for primary levels and something which Mum will treasure for years to come. Perhaps even collage some photos of you and your Mum onto the wall hanger.

Step 1

Choose 5 Kinder Squares in different colours and place one on top of the other.

Step 2

Draw a large heart shape on the top one and cut the shape out holding the 5 sheets together.

Step 3

This will give you 5 large hearts in different colours.

Step 4

Hold another 5 sheets of Kinder Squares together and draw a smaller heart shape on the top sheet

Step 5

Cut out the shape holding the 5 sheets together. This will give you 5 small hearts in different colours.

Step 6

On one of the smaller heart shapes write the words I love

Step 7

On each of the other smaller heart shapes write an activity you love doing with your mum.

Step 8

Glue one of the smaller hearts on to one of the larger hearts decorating around the border with beads or mosaic squares. Repeat this step with the all the h

earts.

Step 9

Join the hearts together on one long length of Satin Ribbon. Begin with the heart with I Love….

Step 10

Decorate this first heart with Craft Aluminium Wire formed into a heart shape. Then, Glue on a loop of Satin Ribbon to form a hanger for the wall hanging.
