The Copic Ciao Set Essential Cool Greys - Metal & Industrial is a four-marker palette curated as the foundation cool grey ramp every rendering student needs. C1 Cool Grey No.1, C2 Cool Grey No.2 and C3 Cool Grey No.3 provide three closely spaced steps for smooth gradation across curved surfaces, while C5 Cool Grey No.5 makes a deliberate jump into deep shadow and hard-edged contrast. Because greys underpin almost every rendering task, this set does double duty: the blue undertone of the cool grey family reads convincingly as stainless steel, aluminium, galvanised sheet, chrome, machinery, appliances and engineering components, while the same four tones handle shading, cast shadow and greyscale studies across any other material. Copic Ciao are artist-quality alcohol-based markers designed for rendering and design work, dual-tipped with a Super Brush nib for blending and reflected-light detail and a Medium Broad Chisel nib for the long, even strokes that cylinders and flat panels require.
