About this Live Online Workshop
Join Norton Fredericks in this Live Online session where you will be taught how to create a wet-felted textile using wool, then learn how to incorporate mindfulness and manifestation into this practice using slow stitching techniques.
Norton is a queer sustainable fibre artist and workshop facilitator living and working on Kombumerri Country, Gold Coast, who has mixed European and Indigenous heritage.
Norton creates traditional wet felt and uses natural botanical dyes in his work that speaks of his connection to Country and love of historical textiles.
Norton was one of the 2023 ArtKeepers at HoTA, has work acquired by the Museum of Brisbane and has work in the current Tamworth Textile Triennial that will be touring regionally across Australia for the next 3 years.
