Stephanie and the Foundation celebrate and inspire growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing Australia wide.

Together, we’ll celebrate gardens, food and sustainability through art while linking to wellbeing, sustainability and our environment.

During this workshop, participants will:

• Create a sensory garden wind chime using wire.
• Explore the history and making of Seed Bombs.
• Use 3D modelling skills to make an upcycled vase.
• Learn simple drawing techniques using oil pastel to create a still life collage.
• Explore and discuss the work of Stephanie Alexander and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.
• Discuss links to wellbeing, sustainability, Australia and the environment.
• Complete 2 additional hands-on art making activities live online together.

Her reputation has been earned through her thirty years as an owner-chef in several restaurants, as the author of many influential books and hundreds of articles about food matters, and for her groundbreaking work in creating the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation provides the inspiration, information, professional development and support for educators to deliver pleasurable food education to children and young people in Australia.
Pleasurable food education is a fun, hands-on approach to teaching children and young people about fresh, seasonal, delicious food so they form positive food habits for life.
Delivered through a kitchen garden program, pleasurable food education has an array of health, wellbeing, education and community benefits.

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program is available in early childhood, primary and secondary schools. You don’t need a massive garden or an industrial kitchen to join as members!
