Marker and Poster Colour Portraits Inspired By Julian Opie

In this lesson students will explore the areas of shape, colour and line through the medium of drawing and painting. Taking inspiration from Julian Opie’s graphic portraits, students will make a self-portrait using his stylistic principles.

Materials     

  • A3 photocopied portrait of each student on regular photocopier paper
  • Carbon graphite paper
  • Masking tape
  • 2B pencil
  • A3 white cartridge paper
  • Permanant black marker
  • Zart Poster Colour Paints, Basic
  • Zart Poster Colour Paints, Earth
  • Paint brush
  • Water
