
Large-Scale Flowers Inspired by Anna Bruder

In this lesson students will explore bold mark-making tools to explore a variety of line types, design and draw a large-scale flower inspired by Anna Bruder's illustrative style, then embellish their artwork with tactile materials to create a finished, display-ready piece.
Materials:
- Thick card (e.g. kraft card or similar heavy card stock), A3 or half-A3 size
- Permanent markers — chisel tip and round tip
- Colour Apps (broad-tip paint applicators)
- Colour Slicks (paint markers)
- HB or grey lead pencil
- Scissors
- Wooden skewers and tape (for mounting)
- Beads and sequins in assorted sizes and colours
- Buttons (optional)
- Strong craft glue (e.g. Supertac)
- Paint scraper or spreading tool
- Paper towel or wet wipes
- Real or artificial flowers for observational reference (optional)
