Creative Response and Connection: Mixed Media Patterned Pants

The learning objectives for this lesson are to explore the use of pattern, line, and colour through illustration and mixed media techniques. Inspired by the humorous story Animal Pants, students will design and decorate a series of patterned pants for an animal character, integrating drawing, painting, stamping, and collage.

Materials     

  • A4 or A3 cartridge paper, size optional
  • Tracing paper & pencils
  • Poster Colours Paint Palettes; Warm, Cool and Basic 
  • Paintbrushes, palettes, water containers
  • EVA Foam Stamping Shapes
  • EverZart Broad Markers 
  • Glue sticks
  • Coloured cardstock for mounting

Optional: Colour Slicks, pastels, gel pens, Zart School Colours Paint, Zart Primecolours Watercolours, Zart Primecolours Pearlescent Paints
