Pete Cromer inspired Watercolour Collage

Description

In this video we explore the work of Australian artist Pete Cromer.

We begin by drawing out a design which incorporates the similar shapes and simple forms that Cromer uses in his own work. Our design will resemble an animal from a profile angle like many of Cromer’s works.

We use water colour paints to create our own coloured papers and then draw the shapes from our design onto these coloured papers and cut them out. We then layer these pieces together. We explore different options with the composition of the shapes to create a finished artwork.
