Bouncing Festive Characters

Step 1

Create a base for the character’s body from tightly formed aluminium foil. The Modelling Spring has two ends – a metal plate at one end and an adhesive pad at the other. Attach the plate end to the foil ball (body) with tape.

Step 2

Model some Magiclay or Modelling Foam over the body and the tape join (be careful not to cover the spring’s coil). Experiment with marbled and mixed Magiclay colours.

Step 3

Add details and features to complete.

Step 4

Peel the protective paper off the adhesive pad, then attach the spring to a Wooden Model Base.

Step 5

Students may choose to decorate the Wooden Base with Street Paint Markers or more Magiclay. Leave to dry.
