• Size: 250mL
• Single colours
• Can be used on bisque fired clay or raw (Leather-hard) clay surfaces
• Do not apply over a glazed surface
• Suitable for Stoneware, Midfire and Earthenware
• Stir well before use, and stir regularly while using to prevent settling
• For best coverage, apply 2-3 coats, allowing to dry completely between coats
• Over application can cause peeling
• Some underglazes will change when fired above 1080oC.
• Please test under your firing conditions.
• General colour mixing theory may not work with all underglazes. Always do a test of mixed underglazes before applying to work, as some colours may appear differently when fired, especially at stoneware temperatures.
• NB: Violet/Lilac will not fire to stoneware temperatures

In the classroom, teachers can use underglazes to explore a range of clay techniques to enhance student work. Underglaze can be applied to raw clay to explore sgraffito techniques or used to enhance a design through colour application. A clear gloss glaze over the top of underglaze can be used to further enhance designs, making underglazes a valuable tool for exploration in the artroom.
