Gamblin Solvent Free Fluid Medium is a low-viscosity, non-toxic alternative to traditional oil painting mediums. Designed to increase the flow of oil paint and reduce visible brushstrokes, this fluid medium is ideal for smooth blending, soft edges, and delicate glazing techniques. It improves the handling of oil colours without altering their pigment strength or finish, making it an excellent tool for refined detail work or large-scale painting with minimal health risk.

Made from a blend of safflower oil and alkyd resin, this medium contains no petroleum solvents, making it suitable for classrooms, studios, and shared workspaces where air quality and safety are a concern. It dries within 24 to 72 hours depending on thickness and is best used in moderation—up to 25 percent by volume with oil paint.
