The Aluminium Painting Panel 610 x 610mm offers artists a refined, silky-smooth surface that is ideal for both oil and acrylic painting. Made from anodised aluminium, this 3mm thick panel features two aluminium sheets sandwiching a solid core, ensuring a warp-free, durable and archival substrate. Unlike wood panels, it won’t yellow, bend or reveal natural inconsistencies over time. The smooth front surface is ready for direct painting or can be primed with clear, white or coloured gesso to suit different techniques and paint types. When left unprimed or clear-primed, the reflective aluminium surface can enhance the luminosity of transparent paint layers, adding intriguing depth and visual complexity.
