    About this Live In-Person Workshop:

    Discover a variety of different art activities that are suitable for both the art room and classroom.

    This workshop will provide you ideas for different art based projects that are suitable for the classroom with materials that are minimally messy and processes which are simple to follow.

    Explore a broad range of art mediums and inspirational artists while ensuring you are meeting the curriculum requirements for the visual arts.

    This workshop is designed for classroom teachers taking art classes and art teachers teaching from a cart, but will also suit any teacher looking to explore new art lesson ideas.

     

    In this Workshop, you will:

  • Explore the work of Australian artist Aidan Weichard and how your students can create a mess free “painting”.
  • Discover ideas for sculptural artworks that can be completed in a classroom.
  • Explore textiles and collage techniques.
  • Learn about the visual arts within the Australian Curriculum.
  • Create a Pete Cromer inspired sculpture.
  • Discuss the Australian Curriculum and how these projects relate to the criteria within the visual arts.
  • Share ideas and strategies for how art can look in a classroom context.
