    MODULE-VG-1-1 Activity 1 - Part 1 - Print making with Gelli plate
    Printmaking is a wonderful medium.
    Kylie will be using monoprinting to build skills and extend this into a multimedia drawing project. The element of line will be the focus and our inspiration will be Van Gogh’s ‘The Starry Night’ (1889).

    MODULE-VG-2 Activity 2 - Exploring Line and Pattern
    Embossing on heavy foil creates exciting outcomes. Kylie will focus once more on line and movement paying homage to Van Gogh’s line and textural works.

    MODULE-VG-3 Activity 3 - Collage & Sensory Exploration
    Collage can create a sensory experience Kylie will focus on texture and shape through this medium. Sunflowers were a subject often painted by Van Gogh and we are inspired today by these wonderful works for lower levels

    MODULE-VG-4 Activity 4 - Printing and Modelling
    Printing with Plasticine is a sensory experience and today we explore texture and shape.
    Kylie will build the printing skills and then add drawing to this experience to produce a very creative outcome.

    MODULE-VG-5 Activity 5 - Self Portraits
    Self-portraits were very much a focus in Van Gogh’s life. Today Kylie will inspire with a very creative way to create a self-portrait using pastel and vegetable oil.

    Kylie Wickham

    Kylie Wickham is a passionate artist and Teacher. She has always loved art and has been drawing from a young age. Kylie has a Bachelor in Fine Arts (R.M.I.T) and a Diploma of Education.

    Kylie began her professional career working on special exhibitions at the NGV including the Van Gogh, Brett Whitely and Matisse exhibitions. Her passion for people, art and culture saw her become a dedicated traveller. For over ten years she balanced working as a secondary art teacher, travelling and working in galleries. During this time Kylie worked for the TATE Gallery in London on several major shows, including the Mondrian and Turner shows.

    Kylie now balances her time between teaching, making art and working as a consultant for Zart. She is currently working on a new Zart Online Professional Learning Series and travels internationally to present Professional learning workshops.
