Bunyips & Dragons:
Chaos Free Papier Mache

with Renee Ferris

Suitable for: PRIMARY

Session Times Available: (AM) Morning or (PM) Afternoon

A practical, rich, inquiry-model approach to implementing papier-mâché with primary students and students with special needs.

This is a multifaceted workshop inspired by Australian children’s picture books with a focus on differentiation and links to language. Practical aspects of the workshop include techniques for managing efficient set-up, storage and clean-up of resources. Participants will create a small papier-mâché model in stages, from armature to wet application.

*This workshop includes links to the Victorian Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum, ideas for portfolio pieces, and examples of assessment rubrics.
